Amanda Thomas is a Partner and the Director of Philanthropic Strategy at Mission Wealth. In her charitable planning role, Amanda guides and educates clients to formulate an effective philanthropic plan and discusses tax-efficient giving strategies that will establish a legacy of impact for future generations.
Amanda delivers customized solutions that are aligned with Mission Wealth's ongoing client service model and annual Wealth Management, Tax Management, and Estate Plan Reviews to ensure that client cash flow, tax impact, and legacy considerations are addressed. A client’s philanthropic plan can also include engagement of the next generation, impact investing, and research on nonprofits that are aligned with their mission.
Amanda was previously a Client Advisor at Mission Wealth and has extensive experience working with the financial needs and goals of divorcees, widows, and multi-generational families.

Professional Background
Amanda has over 35 years of financial experience. Prior to joining Mission Wealth in 2006, Amanda spent 11 years as a Vice President in Private Banking at Northern Trust Bank in Santa Barbara, working with high net worth clients and their banking, investment, and trust needs.
Amanda has a Master of Science in Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning, as a well as a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Classics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Amanda was born and raised in Miami. Currently residing in Santa Barbara with her husband, she enjoys travel and all outdoor sports including beach volleyball, golf, tennis, hiking, skiing, and swimming.
She is Past President and current member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, and a past board member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara, City of Santa Barbara Human Services and Community Development Commission, Santa Barbara Young Professionals Club co-founder, and Santa Barbara Small Business Loan Fund.
As a member of the Women on a Mission group, she is part of an array of female team members that offer the advice and guidance women need in this new age. Our goal is to support a future full of strong, independent women, based on education, positivity, and empowerment.
