With over 15 years of financial planning experience, Mary Voll Miller has established herself as a trusted advisor in the industry. Her extensive background as a broadcast television executive provides her with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing her clients. Prior to joining Mission Wealth in 2023, Mary spent 12 years as a Partner and Financial Advisor at Per Stirling Capital Management with her daughter, Alison Miller, who also joined the Mission Wealth team.
Mary's commitment to professional development is evident through her educational achievements. She graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas Financial Planning Certificate Program and completed a specialized program in professional divorce analysis from the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts™. Additionally, Mary holds a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University's acclaimed theater program, which speaks to her creativity and ability to think outside the box when it comes to financial planning.
Personal Pursuits
When Mary is not helping clients achieve their financial goals, she enjoys indulging in her love of theater and choral music. She also has a passion for travel, both domestically and internationally, and enjoys exploring new destinations with her husband. Mary and her husband reside in Austin and are proud parents of two adult children, Ben and Alison, and a Miniature Schnauzer named Frankie.
Community Impact
Mary is deeply committed to giving back to her community and has been a longtime volunteer at The Lake Travis Thrift Shop and a member of The Ladies of Charity. As a member of the Austin Chapter of the Financial Planning Association, Mary served on the board of directors. From 2016-2020, Mary also served as an adjunct professor for the University of Texas Capstone Class of the Certified Financial Planning Certificate Program, sharing her expertise and knowledge with the next generation of financial planners.
As a member of the Women on a Mission group, she is part of an array of female team members that offer the advice and guidance women need in this new age. Our goal is to support a future full of strong, independent women, based on education, positivity, and empowerment.
