Professional Background
Before joining Mission Wealth, Jake Laughlin gained a wealth of experience from various roles. One of his noteworthy roles was as a student employee at the National Center for Women and Information Technology, a non-profit. There, he helped the team work towards their goal of increasing the number of women involved in STEM fields.
Jake graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (with an emphasis in Marketing and Business Analytics) from the University of Colorado - Boulder.
Personal Pursuits
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Jake went to the University of Colorado Boulder and is now living in sunny Santa Barbara, California. Jake is a cello player and music theory enthusiast who has performed at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In addition to his passion for music, Jake is also a tennis player and is ranked 3.5 by the USTA.
Community Impact
Jake Laughlin served on the University of Colorado Student Government as a voting member of the Volunteer Resource Center Joint Board. He also served as the Vice President of Service and Operations for Alpha Phi Omega – Gamma Theta, a national professional service fraternity. An avid tennis player, Jake has also spent a number of years teaching tennis to special-needs children to compete in the Colorado Special Olympics.
