The CFA® Program measures the competence and integrity of financial analysts and emphasizes the highest ethical and professional standards. CFA® candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis. Earning the CFA® charter demonstrates mastery of the skills most needed for real-world investment analysis, portfolio management and decision making in today’s fast-evolving global financial industry.
Certified Financial Planner™
To achieve the certification, individuals must demonstrate their financial planning competence through extensive education and a rigorous board examination focusing on the areas of financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning and retirement. CFP® professionals must also complete continuing education programs each year to maintain their certification status.
Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst®
This is the globally-recognized credential for professionals managing, analyzing, distributing, or regulating alternative investments, which include private equity, hedge funds, commodities and real estate, among others. Those who have earned the designation successfully pass both the Level I & II exams; have more than one year of qualifying work experience (or four years of professional experience); maintain annual membership dues and abide by the membership agreement.

Personal Pursuits
Brian moved back to his hometown of Santa Barbara three years ago after spending over a decade working in the Bay Area and abroad. He is excited to spend more time with his family and to be putting down roots of his own in Santa Barbara with his wife, Christina, their newly born son Jack, and their Australian Labradoodle puppy Charlie.
Brian is an avid golfer and enjoys staying active at the gym or running on the beach on a daily basis. He loves to travel and has a passion for cars, motorcycles, food, wine and real estate.
