Dylan Reid is an Investment Intern at Mission Wealth. In this role, he works alongside the investment team while gaining hands-on experience applying quantitative analysis to investment research and market-related projects.

His internship allows him to build on his academic background while developing a deeper understanding of the investment process and the skills needed for a future career in trading.

Professional Background

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Dylan is currently pursuing a degree in Financial Mathematics and Statistics at the University of California, Santa Barbara, with an expected graduation in 2027. Through his coursework, he has developed a strong foundation in analytical and quantitative problem-solving. His interest in finance and capital markets grew through his involvement with UCSB’s Finance Workshop, which helped him explore potential career paths within the industry. He later earned his Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification and joined Mission Wealth in 2026 for his first professional internship in the investment field.

Personal Pursuits

Outside of work and school, Dylan enjoys playing basketball, hiking, spending time at the beach, and playing board games and poker with friends and family.

Community Impact

Dylan has been involved in community service since high school and previously served in a leadership role with Boys Team Charity, volunteering with food banks, homeless shelters, and animal rescue organizations. More recently, he has volunteered with the Santa Barbara Humane Society and Gauchos Go Green, fostering dogs and helping clean streets and beaches throughout Isla Vista.
