Mission Wealth’s 2025 Retreat: Hitting All the Right Notes in Music City

This spring, Mission Wealth gathered in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee—better known as Music City—for our annual firm retreat. Hosted at the iconic Gaylord Opryland Resort, the event brought together over 150 team members from across the country for three unforgettable days of connection, inspiration, and a whole lot of Southern hospitality.

Day 1 – Tuning Into Connection & Culture

The retreat kicked off with a welcome as warm as a Tennessee summer, giving team members a chance to reconnect and explore Nashville’s local charm. Some opted for line dancing, golf, or rooftop socials, while others ventured downtown to experience the honky-tonks, hot chicken, and historic streets of Broadway.

The evening wrapped up with a lively dinner and happy hour at Water’s Edge, where laughter, live music, and genuine conversation set the perfect tone for the days ahead.

Day 2 – Striking a Chord with Inspiration and Friendly Competition

Day two kicked off bright and early with breakfast and team photos before everyone gathered for our annual firm meeting. Leadership shared exciting updates and future plans, followed by one of the most meaningful moments of the retreat—hearing from our 2024 Mission Wealth Scholars. Asa Hodrick, Andre Massicott, Kathryn Grover, and Samuel Vance moved the room with their powerful stories and the impact of our scholarship program.

After lunch, the group split into two tracks: About half the team headed to the green for our first-ever Mission Wealth Golf Tournament at Gaylord Springs, while others explored more of what Nashville had to offer—whether relaxing at the resort, checking out the local shops, or soaking up that Music City magic.

The day wrapped up on a high note with an Italian-inspired dinner and cocktails at Ravello, where stories flowed as freely as the wine and laughter echoed well into the evening.

Day 3 – Giving Back and Going Out with a Bang

We kicked off day three with heartfelt icebreakers led by our Chief Impact Officer, Seth Streeter, setting the tone for a day rooted in purpose and connection. From there, we headed out to roll up our sleeves and give back to the Nashville community with a volunteer morning at Friends of Shelby Park. Our team worked together to beautify the park and support a space that serves so many locals.

After returning to the resort and refueling with lunch, team members spent the afternoon enjoying some well-deserved downtime and local adventures—whether exploring Nashville’s charm, relaxing at the resort, or catching up with colleagues.

But the real showstopper? Our surprise finale: a night out on Broadway at JBJ’s Nashville! Over dinner and drinks, we soaked in the live music and vibrant energy of Music City. And in one of the evening’s most memorable moments, the 2025 MVP Award was announced—and for the first time ever, it was a tie! Congratulations to Ishanjit Gondara and Oliver Schulten, our two outstanding MVPs who embody Mission Wealth’s heart, drive, and spirit.
