The Junior League of Santa Barbara (JLSB) is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and to improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Their primary focus is on improving the lives of at-risk young women by educating and empowering them to reach their full potential while working to prevent exploitation and injustice in their communities.
S.A.F.E. House is JLSB's Signature Project. The organization has worked to facilitate the opening of a 6-bed shelter, designed specifically to provide trauma-informed therapy and housing for victims of sex trafficking. Currently, the state of California only has 18 beds dedicated to girls that have been trafficked. Opening a 6-bed home will make a significant difference in getting these girls rehabilitated and keeping them from running back to their exploiters. Mission Wealth is proud to join JLSB for such a great cause.
